Objective: 

to provide a comprehensive overview of the low-tech architecture and the application of evolutionary algorithms in energy design.

Duration: 5 days

Agenda:

1. introduction to energy design: definition, principles and objectives.
2. understanding the role of local climate in low-tech architecture.
3. simulation and evaluation of building form with Grasshopper3D.
4. optimizing building geometry to increase energy efficiency.
5. working with GIS data and control of large-scale geometries
6. presentation techniques and management of Big Data

Required tools:

Rhinoceros and Grasshopper3D.

Prerequisites: 

Basic knowledge of mathematics

Target participants: 5-15

Outcome:


At the end of the workshop, participants will have gained a basic understanding of energy optimization in the planning process and the application of low-tech design principles to urban structures. They will be able to work with GIS data, simulate and evaluate building form, optimize building geometry for energy efficiency, and effectively present their designs.

    Day 3.

    “Learning abour principles of “Evolutionary Algorithm (EA) In Energy Design”

    Understanding EA and developing solutions to the following questions: What parameters affect the shape of buildings? How does the parameterization of physical forces and their interaction with shape work? How to work with the Evolutionary Solver in Grasshopper3d? How to evaluate optimized data and select the best geometry? How to optimize the geometry to increase the overall energy efficiency of the project?
