Energy Design Lavovski had the opportunity to develop a virtual reality training application for our client’s pharmaceutical production facility. Here are some tips to consider:
1. Bim: Draw BIM from start to finish.
2. 3D: Draw at least in 3D.
3. LOD: All planners must maintain the same level of detail in their 3D models.
4. Detail: Draw as detailed as possible, but keep the model size optimized.
5. Piping: Reduce the complexity of piping.
6. Vessels: Reduce the complexity of vessels and tanks.
7. Assets: Model laminar flow, you will need it again 🙂
8. Investor: Work with investors on training topics and pathways.
9. Cleanroom Class: Prepare overalls and animations for all cleanroom classes.
10. Budget: It’s an expensive process, so plan your budget well.
Creating training applications for your pharmaceutical industry facilities offers numerous benefits as the ability to train your staff prior to the completion of the facility. Also you can inspect restricted zones without needing access to the physical site. Additionally, you have the opportunity to test and refine the architectural layout during the planning phase. Tips on communicating and executing the app:
- Early Engagement: Ensure early engagement with stakeholders to understand specific training needs and requirements.
- Detailed Site Mapping: Thoroughly map the production facility in the virtual environment, including key operational areas and potential training scenarios.
- Interactive Simulation: Create interactive simulations that replicate real-world scenarios, allowing users to engage with equipment, processes, and protocols.
- User-Friendly Interface: Design a user-friendly interface for easy navigation within the virtual environment, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
- Customization Options: Provide customization options to tailor the training program to different roles within the pharmaceutical production process.
- Realistic Feedback Mechanism: Implement a realistic feedback mechanism to guide users through correct procedures and offer insights for improvement.
- Multi-User Capability: Consider incorporating multi-user functionality to facilitate collaborative training sessions and team-based learning experiences.
- Integration with BIM Model: Integrate the virtual reality training app with the BIM model for an accurate representation of the future production facility.
- Scalability: Ensure that the application is scalable to accommodate future updates, new equipment, and evolving training requirements.
- Assessment and Progress Tracking: Include features for assessing users’ performance and tracking their progress, allowing for continuous improvement and targeted training interventions.
- User Support and Training: Provide comprehensive user support and training materials to ensure that users can navigate and utilize the virtual reality training app effectively.
- Feedback Mechanism:Establish a feedback mechanism to collect input from users, enabling continuous refinement and enhancement of the virtual training experience.
